Design Forum

The former Emrick Chevrolet building, located in the heart of Richmond, Virginia’s revitalized Jackson Ward was selected by designforum for their new office location.  This award winning land planning and urban design firm wanted a dynamic and energizing work environment. They wanted to look forward to their space when they came to work and also wanted it to represent who they were as designers.

Cornerstone Architects implemented innovative design solutions by uniting the old with the new by preserving the original architectural features and selecting new industrial elements that reflected the client’s image.

From the beginning, our client was strongly committed to creating a space with minimal impact to environment by minimizing waste and pollution, utilizing existing elements, selecting new earth-friendly materials and implementing innovative systems to lower annual energy costs.
